We specialise in building custom WordPress websites. WordPress is the most popular content management system out there, it's very user friendly - allowing you to add your own content with ease and importantly, a WordPress website is extremely flexible in how it can be used - there are no restrictions on the look and feel of your site.

Flat File / Headless CMS systems

A rising trend in web design is the use of Flat File or Headless CMS's - these provide great security and impressive speed (great for mobile users and your rankings on Google). If you're in need of a relatively simple website we might recommend a Flat File website - you'll still be able to update your own content if you want and create blog posts.

Ongoing Website Support

With all our websites we offer hosting, email, daily backups of your site, security updates and security monitoring - as well as training on how to use your website and an easy to understand how to guide for future reference.

If you have an existing site that needs updating, we can also manage this for you, even if we're not hosting your site.

The Website Design Process

What to expect when designing a new website.

After an initial meeting with you to discuss your website needs, we'll get back to you to confirm our recommendations and give you an itemised bill. Once that's agreed, along with payment terms (usually a 50% / 50% or a payment plan by direct debit) we'll get to work.

The web design process usually goes like this:

  • Meeting to discuss website needs and brief - we'll cover what you think you need now, but also your ambitions for the website longer term.
  • Recommendations and Quote.
  • Initial Design ideas (an interactive model so that you can get the idea of clicking through to different pages.
  • Amendments to design (if necessary).
  • Initial build (we build the basic structure and a few pages to get a better idea of the website in the flesh).
  • Meeting to go through initial build.
  • Finish building and inputting the rest of the content.
  • Testing
  • SEO work to give your site the best chance on Google and other search engines.
  • Launch & Website Training.

New Website timeframe

For most new websites we allow 6 < 8 weeks from start to finish, this just allows time for availability for meetings from both parties, for the time to do the design work and build, and the time to input content - the biggest delays in making a website are collecting content together.

For a simple site with a specific brief, it is possible to make a website in a day - during the initial meeting we'll discuss timeframe and what's realistically possible with what you need from you website.

It's not just about the website!

When you're new site is finished and launched, the relationship doesn't need to end there.
